One of Harold and my favorite quotes is “be the person the person you are looking for is looking for” which is what we both worked hard on when we were single and when the timing was right we found each other and the rest is history (not really, the rest is a story that is still unfolding- with a lot of adventure I can assure you). Harold and I are always challenging each other to better ourselves and he brought up a really great point last night about our quote. We found each other and Praise The Lord, but that doesn’t mean we should stop striving to be the people that we wanted to be or wanted to be for each other.
So here is the deal: We have decided to challenge ourselves for 2 weeks at a time to pick one thing and work on bettering that aspect of our lives. For this first challenge we picked each other’s focus. I am challenging Harold to spend more intentional time with God and really let God be his driving force and to spend a little extra time learning about what it means to be a man of God in a Christ centered relationship, specifically marriage. Harold has challenged me to work on my “perspective” of life. He said that I have to decide for myself what that means I need to focus on.
We are excited (Harold is so excited that if you run into him anytime soon he will probably give you a motivational speech about life haha) about this challenge and to see the way it changes our lives. We will never stop striving to be better and learn more and ultimately touch as many lives as we can. I am going to do my best to keep everyone updated! But why just follow our journey? Why don’t you create your own too!!! We would love for anyone and everyone to take on this challenge for themselves and let us know how it changes your life too!
